The CFTC project for a “ better life ”
Economy has to be at the service of men .
The employment development secures the social cohesion and favours the people’s blooming . The solidarity schemes depend on it.
It is necessary to build a sustainable growth which creates jobs …
The salaried worker deserves a fair remuneration for his job …
Right of employment and right for the wage are the same right of life . The wage is a factor of request and therefore of employment.
The CFTC gives its support to the families in the company just like at the territories level, within the scope of co-management ( social welfare, housing …) just like towards the authorities .
It’s a matter, when working, of making all the dimensions of a person to be taken into account ( salaried worker, parent, player of associations …) allowing therefore a real conciliation of the various times of life and the recognition of the tasks of the collective usefulness .
The firms have responsibilities – included financial ones – as regards family policy. The CFTC advocates that family questions should be integrated in the firms negotiations and of sectors in particular as regards the organization of work, mobility, and redundancy schemes .
The world of work has changed a lot . From now on, it is necessary to adapt oneself, to train oneself all life long, change one’s job, and one’s company …The work of women makes more imperative the non-discrimination and taking into account family life …
The status of the worker suggested by the CFTC aims to answer to these evolutions . It is built on three main lines :
- the continuity of rights ( remuneration, training, social welfare …) in order to reduce the risks of precariousness, guarantee a decent life, … but also offer to the persons some possibilities of choice of activities,
- the time chosen in order to allow people to reconcile in a better way family life, associations life and cultural life with professional life,
- the fact of making the salaried workers a partner in the life of the company with their participation in the strategic decisions, in the sharing out of the profits and in the organization of the conditions of work.
